The predecessor of Lublin University of Technology was Evening College of Engineering.
The first faculty, which began its activity in 1953, was Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
In 1965 Evening College of Engineering was reorganised into College of Engineering and courses of study leading to master's degree were established in 1973.
Lublin University of Technology acquired its present status in 1977.
During the following years Lublin University of Technology developed and expanded the range of scientific and didactic interests. It is a thriving academic community with a highly qualified and experienced staff and excellent teaching resources.
